"Radio pays homage to Rosemary"

Tristate stations will fill the air this weekend with the voice of singer Rosemary Clooney, who will be buried today in Maysville.
Nationally syndicated Fresh Air host Terry Gross will replay a 1997 San Francisco concert by Ms. Clooney on her show today. It airs at noon on WMUB-FM (88.5.), 3 p.m. on WVXU-FM (91.7) and 7 p.m. on WNKU-FM (89.7)
WSAI-AM (1530), where brother Nick Clooney hosts mornings, will continue playing a liberal sprinkling of Ms. Clooney's hits through the weekend.
At noon today, the WVXU-FM (91.7) Local Matters show will be devoted to coverage of Ms. Clooney's funeral and her career. The station also will play her songs on big band shows 1-6 p.m. Saturday.
Annie Wagner plans a four-hour tribute to Ms. Clooney on her Song Shop 1-5 p.m. Saturday on WMKV-FM (89.3).
At 9:45 p.m. Saturday throughout July, WVXU-FM will broadcast Ms. Clooney's appearances on network radio shows from the 1950s. The 15-minute shows have not been heard for nearly 50 years, says Mark Magistrelli, WVXU-FM host and historian.
Carmon DeLeone will devote his Sunday Morning Music Hall to her 8-11 a.m. Sunday on WRRM-FM (98.5).
